the website isn't bad for a first attempt. Here are a few things for you to consider when going for the redesign:

1. The blog is hosted at wordpress (http://superiorcondoms.wordpress.com/) so any links back to the blog are not benefitting your google score.
2. Have you thought of running a competition to get more interest from people, this is a great way of marketing your site especially when integrated with social media
3. On the homepage there is very little screen space actually devoted to the products, the whole point of the site is to sell products so they should take center stage
4. Have you thought about offering promotions and discounts on certain products to drive more traffic
5. A newsletter subscription is an excellent way of reminding people about yoru website by sending out email campaigns with promotions
6. FAQs are dated by todays standards, are these actaully ferquently asked questions or questions that you assume peope will ask?
7. Have you thought about integrating ratings into your products, this has been one of the keys to Amazons success

I appreciate your feedback. When I was building the site (with lots of help from a team of Indian web designers), I really didnt understand SEO and I dont come from a marketing background (Engineering degree/ banking work).

You have some very valid points here. The blog is one of our priorities to bring "inside" the website, as well as adding a few more user-friendly buttons.

We have tried competitions and discount codes in the past - these have not been too successful, but I would put a "chunk" of that possibly down to the wrong strategy. We will certainly be tryingsome again in the near future.

Ratings is a great idea - that will need to be in our new build too

I read your "things to know" blog - it is very interesting and gave me some pointers - thanks very much for that. I definitely recommend others should read this, and similar, too.

I was gonna offer SEO advice, but Hayley Quinns blog has cracked me up, resident sexpert. haha.

Gumpshen made some very good points, so I'd follow those. I'd also make sure you get some text on your homepage, rather than text in an image, as google can't read the words in a .jpg.

After several months re-designing and working on back end workflows, we decided to get a UK company to build our website. We are now fairly happy with the look and feel of the site and we have a simple and effective back-end, which we didnt have before!

Its exciting times for us (Im sure for most of you guys too), and now its a case of trying to make sure the keywords, meta tags, etc are all refined enough to help us move up the rankings. I'm hoping in due course that these can be outsourced, and allow myself and my business partner to focus on actually running the business!

I think for a first site, the design isn't that bad, there are some issues though they have pretty much already been addressed but the design of the site isn't that bad, interested to see the new version.
