Bolton-based women's fashion business, Sequels, has announced its plans for national expansion by way of franchising.
Husband and wife team, Elaine and Peter Martin, who launched the business in 1993, have teamed with The Franchise Doctors to recruit entrepreneurial-minded people to help set up Sequels franchises across the UK.
Sequels specialises in cut-price women’s designer clothing that is suitable for formal functions and eveningwear. The majority of the store’s garments are brought in from regular customers; however, the company also has an agreement with a number of suppliers of designer label clothing and accessories.
“Expansion has been a plan of ours for some time now, but we simply did not have the available resources to achieve these objectives alone,” said Elaine Martin, managing director of Sequels.
“The Franchise Doctors will manage all of the recruitment for us and then help launch each new franchise using their world-class marketing systems. Without this service we would not have been able to take the business to this next step, a step which is now well overdue.”
Sequels franchisees will receive management and support from The Franchise Doctors’ and inherit a loyal and varied customer base, she added.
