What did you make of the10 Barclays £50K winners?

I use Barclays and think they are just like all the others and when I read the competiton for new business with a £50,000 prize each, for 10 winners, I just thought it was another fix. But having seen who won it,I now regret not entering as I personally think most of the winners were a waste of time. I couldnt believe some hadnt even traded.I now think that entering competitions like these, could be a good route for many using startups.
Your thoughts please?

I don't suppose you have a link there do you tigeress289 as I'll take a look(?) Like you I've never thought of entering competitions but if you can win £50k without ever having started trading then it really must be worth a go!

Sorry for being lazy there - as soon as I'd posted, I realised that I ought to just do a Google search(!)
There are some varied winners there and good on them for winning.
The main thing I'm taking from it though is just to go for it with the competitions and not spent too much time worrying about how far you'll get or whether you should even bother to enter; it seems a good way of getting exposure and some unexpected funding if you get far enough.

To be honest ,I am kicking myself, mainly from the view that it bypasses your local business manager ,who in most cases with all the banks, has no idea of new business. The good thing is that it was this site that promoted the fact of the competition, I for one thought it was a con. But clearly from the winners, it wasnt.

Hi.
If they're not happy to sanction that, then why would it make any sense for. In ten or fifteeen years when it all collapses again you can look up for it.
