As one of the program directors of a non-profit resource center, I was tasked with the job of getting our organization online. Since no one in our organization had any web development knowledge and considering that we operate on a strict budget, we did not have the liberty of just hiring a web designer and spending lots of money. What we did find was an online hosting company that designed our site for free in return for the hosting contract.

The company, SiteActivate.com, registered our domain name, created the site, set up the e-mail addresses and helped us to decide which content was best suited for our Internet presence...and they did it all for free. What impressed me was their control panel which allows us to log on and make any changes or upload content with a few clicks of the mouse.
