Idea , concept , layout ,presentation every thing is fine . But I feel that you need to specify the use of it also. You should add atleast some content about this .

The home page is the place for content. You need it for SEO purposes.
This should be your main landing page. I suggest a full set of meta tags. The only place you use url shortener is in the title tag. It is nowhere on the page. As you know you aren't the only one doing this. You need to compete for the traffic.

Thanks for the input. I am still fairly new at all of this, so I will need to do some research to know which meta tags to use and how I can place my content.

I have started a blog for the site, where I plan on having some posts on things around the Web.
