A group of British graduates will travel to the United States this month as part of a joint enterprise agreement aimed at broadening entrepreneurial horizons.
Twenty graduates from the New Entrepreneur Scholarships (NES) programme will make the trip to Babson College in Massachussetts where they will study American-style business skills under the New Entrepreneur Transatlantic Scholarships (NETS-UK) scheme.
The programme is run by the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA).
Now in its second year, NETS-UK helps students develop entrepreneurial skills by exposing them to a different business culture and overcome personal barriers.
Participants will also meet with small US businesses and expatriates in related fields and gain access to the latest thinking in enterprise.
“This dream opportunity gives our hardworking scholars the chance to learn from and experience the American entrepreneurial culture firsthand and a business school that is internationally renowned and has fantastic learning opportunities and kudos behind it,” said George Derbyshire, chief executive of the NFEA.
