I am thinking to propose an agreement with a current commercial fashion retailer to either sublease space or offer some incentive for them to allow me to sell my clothes/designs in their showroom.


I’m not sure how to propose the agreement to 1. make it attractive, 2. make it fair and viable for both sides and 3. not offer more or less than what is most “common”.


I was thinking to either 1.) offer a fixed payment for a certain square footage of space, 2.) offer a percentage of sales or 3.) a combination of number 1 and 2. or 4.) offer to help with some advertising costs.


I want some thing that is a fair value to both parties but I’m not sure where to start and I fear making a proposal that doesn't have a sound basis.
