Start-up businesses with global potential are being invited to a British Library event as part of Enterprise Week 2008.
The “Small Business, Global Ambitions” role model event will offer start-ups the opportunity to quiz leading names in global enterprise.
Co-founder of lastminute.com, Brent Hoberman; founder of baked good suppliers Eurobuns, Asif Rangoonwala; founder of Flowcrete flooring, Dawn Gibbins; and founder of DIY Kyoto, Richard Woods are among the experts available to give advice at the event.
The event will take place at the British Library Conference Centre from 6.15-9pm on November 19. Tickets cost £10 but for the 2-for-1 offer readers should call the British Library ticket office on 01937 546 546 quoting the Startups offer.
The Business and IP Centre are also running a full programme of workshops and events with sessions on entering new markets, how to protect your ideas abroad, trading and manufacturing outside the UK and special days dedicated to female inventors and social entrepreneurs, as part of Enterprise Week.
