I am looking to set up an internet based business specialising in clothes for the smaller framed woman.
As a small framed woman, I find it frustrating and difficult to find uk size 6 clothing in most high street and internet stores.
I have sent an email to a total of 28 companies so far(since sunday 2nd sept) , asking if firstly, they make a uk size 4 to 8 and secondly if they would be interested in supplying to me. I have had four companies state they would be able to help and two unable to offer any assistance at all.
I would like to know if setting up this business would actually be a good idea?

Hi,
When we went to Thailand my wife (size 12 and tall) was frustrated by the size of the clothes. All very good designs and at a good price but all too small. The Thais are very petite.
So maybe you could look at importing from there?
Just an idea...
Dave.

Hi
I think its a good idea and ideally suited to the internet / mail order business. I guess the first question I would ask you is how many females are size 6 in the UK? and where do they currently get their clothes from? Who are going to be your main competitors and how are you going to offer soemthing that they don't?

For the business to work well on the Net, you will to find keywords that people are searching for for smaller sized adult clothes. In the link below type a generic term like 'clothes' and see which derivatives refer to ;small'.
http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
Then go to Google and see how many websites are optimized for the keywords you find by typing in
intitle:"your keyword"
and see how many sites Google thinks are related to the search. Look at the top of the search results.
If Google's number is less than wordtracker's you have found a gem. However keywords are OK to compete for if Google's number is 20 times wordtracker's.
