First of all, I am appy to discover this forum, I am sure I will find out a lot of info!

As many of you are, I am considering to set up my own business. The idea I have is to set up a snack in one of the busy area of London. The main purpose of this snack would be to sell French food (I am French).

Now, I am looking for advices on how to set it up and what are the costs and constraints involved. To be clear, I am only looking at a broad overview of what is to be taken into account, and I would like to start with something small-ish as I don't have a lot to invest.

I am not looking at at a snack where people would sit for the time being, but just a small shop where I can hand out sandwishes/cold food.

My questions would be the following:

1/ What type of company is most recommended to set up if I am the single owner of the business OR if my girlfriend and I are owners?

2/ What are the cost involved for the company creation? What it the process and how long does it take?

3/ If anyone has experience of setting up a snack, could you please let me know the mimum expenses that will have to take into account? I am thinking of a renting the office, buying or renting a fridge, other expenses etc...)

Let's start with that, hopefully someone will be able to tell me how much I need to start this business and if there are anything I should be careful of!
