I am a professional designer specialising in corporate identity with over 12 years experience working with design agencies.
I became self employed in January this year and am in the process of building up my client base. I realise that if I am to gain new clients at the grass roots level I must be very competitive and offer my services at discounted rates.
I have put together a new service called (New Business Creative Pack), which offers various options.
Option 1: Bespoke logo design in print and web format - (My price) £120 / (Agency price approx £400 - £600)
Option 2: Bespoke logo as above including full print ready stationery,
(business cards), (letterheads), (comp slips) - (My price) £220 / (Agency price approx £700 - £1000)
Prices include amendements to initial ideas.
Extras: Word templates for fax headers, invoices etc.

thanks for the compliment, your site is pretty darn good as well.
Yes, I agree my prices are very low.
I am basically providing a 'loss leader' in the form of a decently designed company logo.
My hope is that as some of these start-up companies grow and mature they will be impressed enough to use me for their next design project. (Doesn't mean that I will suddenly become very expensive).
In all probability most clients will just use me for a inexpensive logo design and I won't hear from them again, which is fine, but even if I get a couple of working partnerships going I think it will have been worthwhile.

Hi Ubee,
We are looking at "over-hauling" our "in-house" (as in we do it ourselves!) marketing/advertising/presentation, the costs involved etc. and do like your portfolio of work. We are looking at brochure type flyers, our own branded gift-wrap etc.
However, I am confused (nothing new there then!) as to how neo3media can say your prices are "too low" as I can't seen them on the website anywhere! Could be me I suppose, or neo3media could have been in direct contact with you I suppose.
We're running a "tight ship" at present, but if you email me offline as to what sort of price range we are looking at or point me to your pricing structure on the website, I may well be interested in taking it further,
