Personally, I am not sure if it is possible to make a living purely by using dropshippers, cos they tend to be quite a bit more expensive (although I intend to bolster my product range in the shortterm using one or two).

why on earth are you looking to do dvd's & consoles? you'll be lucky to make £10 profit on a console and bearly a couple of quid on dvd's.

in life you will get what you pay for. so dont expect much from a dropship site which doesnt charge a joining fee. i'm in the process of joining a couple of (paid) dropshipping sites and will share my experiences here.

if you really want to make money though, you have to put your money where your mouth is and be willing to spend a couple of hundred pounds with a good wholesaler. Wholesale prices tend to be lower than dropshippers but you have to commit to and buy stock in advance of making a sale.

every tom dick & harry is looking for free membership dropship websites. these kind of people put listings on ebay without acutally carrying any stock. because they've had no outlay of money, they are the ones who ruin the prices on ebay and sell things at stupid prices. in addition, most ebayers list products at cost but make it up on inflated delivery charges. this is why i think paid dropship sites might be a better option.

so the choice is simple:
1. spend nothing and be like every other ebayer and make small profit (if any)
2. spend a little on stock with a wholesaler and make bigger profits
3. go to a paid dropshipper

can some oen explain exactly how does drop shipping work, whats the diff or advantage between drop shipping and becoming an affiliate,or placing a banner on ones web site.
