Hi All

My first post! So thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

I have been kicking an idea around in my head for a year or so now - but recently decided to get serious.

I have identified what I consider to be a niche in the car rental market but more research is needed.

It is easy to work out the asset costs (i.e. the vehicles), the marketing costs and general overheads and the business seems to have the potential to make money. The BIG unknown is what the insurance costs will be. I have googled for days and cannot find a company that advertises or mentions insurance for car hire businesses. I have contacted a couple of major players but they haven't got back to me.

Initially I want to start it off very small with just 2 vehicles and take it from there but there is no point forming a company, creating a business plan, cash flow forecast etc if insurance costs render the business unworkable.

So basically I am looking for some rough ballpark figures on insurance to see if this is worthwhile.

Does anybody know of a firm that offers this cover or a specialist who can advise?

Many thanks!!
