I’m planning on starting up an online fashion business, selling up and coming designer clothing and accessories. I therefore need a great website but as with most people, I have a tight budget! I’ve been looking at Moonfruit and similar services but I’m worried that by saving money on the site creation, I’m losing out on SEO because so much of the Moonfruit site is flash based. My ideal scenario would be to start with a Moonfruit site, launch the business to test the market and then look at putting more money into a slicker, bespoke site. Any thoughts from people who have been through similar situations would be very welcome as I'm only just learning about all this!
Thanks

Having spent a lot of time and money having a website converted from flash to HTML I would personally recommend trying to get it right first time as a website is of little value if no one ever comes to visit.
If finances are too restictive to make this an option at the moment then Moonfruit may well be a good alternative option.

Actually Google has recently installed a gizmo which makes it possible to include Flash sites in its rankings. I don't think the flash vs html argument is really very relevant any more.
What I do think is relevant is how having a "freebie" site will affect your customers perceptions of your business....Although as a test site, it's a great idea!
