Budgets vary according to your needs. We promote businesses in order for them to increase traffic to their website, improve revenue streams raise the businesses profile and drive traffic in-store.

It depends if your company has a budget to market themselves to promote your service or product. PR can be more effective than advertising and not cost the earth.

Nice to hear from you grant. I understood all that in your first post.

Increasing traffic is nice, but what most of us need is for that traffic to converted into sales. As i deal in precious stones, budgets are not small, but then again i have to be responsible to all other shareholders.

We have heard hundreds of seo consultants promise the sky, but no one has ever delivered.
If you want you can try, like an affiliate kind of scheme with me where if the traffic is converted to sale and that traffic is through you, i pay you a commission in cash usually about 10% flat.

In this way i will not be out of pocket if nothing is delivered but i will pay you if you dliver on results.

I'm with Ricky on this one. There are two many folks out there who talk the talk, charge hundreds or thousands of pounds to small business owners who certainly don't get the payback in sales. A quick email to the seller's clients will reveal that trend. To be able to offer such a service to small business owners they should be able to prove themselves, kind of on the same workings as the lawyers who offer no win no fee services. Commission is the way to go, then you'll be recommended to all and sundry when you succeed.

I'll give you 10% too on the sales of my products (fashion) that come through you to begin with.

Results are the key. When I´ve heard marketers start to talk about brand awareness etc. I always think they use that because its pretty difficult to get tangible evidence to how well the campaign has gone.

Direct Marketing guys seem to have the greatest results in terms of conversions, mainly because they are use to measuring their campaign results almost immediately. It either works or it doesn´t.

Grant, its been a long time since i have been to the UK .

Anyways nowadays i am mainly in cambodia (in the jungle where the mine is), thailand (sometimes) and singapore. 90% of the world gems are cut in these regions.

As you can also see my conversations with skypist, my sapphires have appeared in the UK (we can recognize our own handywork), as we sell to alot of british people, they could be selling there in the UK at severely inflated prices.

Anyways rubies and sapphires are pretty standard, what matters is the grade (ours are mainly VVS and IF) and purity. You can see them in most jewellery stores . Just ask for the grade and purity. The pictures of our gemstones are on our website.

As long as you meet the moq(minimum order quantity), i will send the precious stones to your customer . You also have a currency advantage as i charge in singapore dollars. Currently
1 pound = 2.35 singapore dollars. This can be to your advantage when selling.

Just one thing to remember when i send the gemstones to your customers that meet the moq, shipping is free, but any taxes on their side is paid by them( this is usually not much depends on different governments as for certain governments there are no taxes levied)

We have been operating since 1965, so we have sold all throughout the world, some collect in person in singapore, so your customers also have this option.

Grant, we have an moq (minimum order quantity) of S$5000 (around sterling 2200). We are a mine, we don't mine single stones, its not economical, unless they are large stones, like 9 carats in sizes. Once any stones are exported to the UK, you will have to pay any taxes to the UK state if it is required. I doubt you want that burden on yourself. Also we make it a point not to keep huge inventory as this is unwise in a business sense.

Valuing is very relative, just like real estate, no two house agents will give you the same price for the same property. This is not like gold, where there is a spot value.

Other than this, if someone orders the moq for yellow sapphires, that will be around 170 pieces, for beryllium treated it will be 2500 pieces. How are you going to value so many pieces for all your clients?

We do have many british clients, some we send by courier to the UK and some collect in person in singapore, we notice most of them carry british passports. Some buy the minimum required and some buy huge quantaties. Its a mix, the colours that they buy the most common are red, yellow and green sapphires and ruby(pure 80). Most don't seem to ask for blue sapphires but for france its always the blue sapphires and nothing else.

From your post, i do get that you are concerned that if you get orders, you might be afraid we send you something else, i assure you we do not operate this way and will always value your business. We are not china manufacturers, we are south east asians. We have higher standards.
