Why it made our list
The idea for Music Concierge came after 17 years in the music industry, where founder Rob Wood had worked as a music journalist, consultant, and DJ. The former editor of music bible Jockey Slut, Rob’s business programmes playlists, offering luxury brands a ‘bespoke service’ to find the perfect sound.
Having overcome the usual challenges of marketing and financing, Rob says he takes inspiration from James Lohan, who produced the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ hotel guides. “He said ‘Rob, you’ve got great expertise and a great business idea, go for it’. Seeing what he’s done with his business has been a real inspiration".
