multi-restaurant delivery service

Hi,
I am looking into setting up a multi- restaurant delivery service.
the aim of the service will be to offer customers one number to call to order food delivered from any number of local restaurants and also to offer the restaurants the ability to offer a delivery service for a fee - woithout all the headaches of hiring delivery staff, advertising etc... which will all be taken care of by our company.
what I need is feedback from forum members as to what they think of the idea and info from anyone who has set this type of business already as to potential pitfalls/costs etc...
Thanks in advance for your feedback
cheers
rick

Hi Rick
There was and maybe still is a company in Nottinghamshire that did this and they used to charge £2 for delivery. Each takeaway that used their services displayed a poster. Whilst I did notice it in several take-away's I didn't use the service myself, but others must have as they were around for several years that I know of. They could still be trading but I no longer live in the area.
Sounds like a good business - go for it!
