Just joined, started my business, Principle |Furniture 4 months ago, all going well, supplying businesses and home consumers with office furniture and stationery. Based in Halifax west yorkshire, serving the whole of the UK.

Remember the 1,2,3
1 Customers - get quick customer feedback with every sale/receipt/invoice, phone call follow up to see if they are happy with their purchase, an unhappy customer will tell up to 20 others about the poor service they received, wouldn't you rather give them a way to tell you that they are not happy so you have the chance to sort the problem rather than them complaining to their friends?
2 Employees - they are the eyes and ears of your business, have regular short meetings where they can make suggestions to improve the business and your customer service and also tell you what customers are saying to them
3 Financials - know your sales, profits, cash in bank, who's not paid and how much stock you hold every month, keep your paperwork organised, either do it yourself or get someone to do do it, just make sure you do it, lost paperwork costs you time and money
Also, read 'The Richer Way' by Julian Richer. If you have not already read this book, read it soon.
