Marketing On Foreign Search Engines

Should I market my Horror Site to foreign search engines? I ask this because I have heard that to really get your business off the ground, you need to be marketing it to such huge markets as Brazil and China with a translated version of your site. At the moment, the site is UK based only, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to translate it for the foreign countries. If I did this, would I need to pay out money to a foreign hosting company, or could I just translate the main page of my site and upload it to my current British hosting space?

I guess my first questions would be do you:
a) Know the language of the countries you want to enter
b) Have a contact that can cover question a)
c) Have the finance to fund the above if it's absent
The issues here are that it would need to be very well translated to produce results. For example
" If me talkered such as this in the fist openeing line of my sentancing, you really have heared and appreciated what me said " ?
Because the above is typical of online conversions such as Google. Obviously the answer to the above example, if at all you understood it, is no.

Dave

Hi! I have a website which is aimed at UK and USA customers. To meet Google's SEO criteria I have two versions of the site (so for you this would be in different languages) and each one is hosted with a website hosting company in the target country with an appropriate domain name i.e. for me I have .co.uk for UK and .com for USA. My advice would be to buy the matching domain names for the countries you wish to target. Create duplicate websites but (and this bit is important) change the wording or content slightly as Google will penalise you if the content is duplicated perfectly. So you end up with several very similar versions of your website in different languages on different webspaces. And you really need perfect translations like Dave said. Some people will use Google translate tool but very few in my experience.
