Hi all, I'm in the process of starting my own health and safety training company, offering first aid, fire safety etc. I'm after putting together a Market Research Questionnaire to send out to businesses to gauge interest etc. I have the content (questions to ask) but not sure of the format to put it in.
Does anyone know of any free questionnaire templates or indeed has a sample questionnaire of their own?!
Many thanks for your help!
Ross

Hi Ross,
www.surveymonkey.com is a great way of creating email surveys and I think if yours is under 10 questions it is free to run. They also have suggested templates for, say, customer satisfaction/feedback etc.
If you need some help, I'd be happy to review what you come up with - I used to design marketing surveys for a living, so I'm happy to review and suggest any modifications - my email is caroline@virtuallysorted.com

Thank you both for your help.
Do you know of any companies that would mind me sending a short questionnaire? 8 questions only...not too taxing either
I don't want to 'spam' anyone!!
If you know of anyone that would be willing to help out a new starter please send me an email address and contact name!
Thanks again
Ross

I would recommend http://www.questionpro.com/sample-questionnaire.html . Its very easy to build one and send one. Very user friendly so that is good.
As mentioned before, do not make it too long. They say that perfect market research survey should not take more then 3 minutes to complete.
If you are not interested in a survey where you click buttons, but are looking for a word document surveys, I have some sample templates you might find interesting. Dont worry it will be free
Hope that helps, and i would be more then happy to take the questionnaire in order to help you

Thanks for the advice Enriko, I've done a questionnaire on surveymonkey as Caroline suggested...looks good and is all ready to be distributed...only problem is I don't have any business contacts to send it to!! How effective is it to just send it to personal (mainly friends and family) contacts?

hei Thorer1981,
Well, friends and family can work quite well. Only thing is that it could be bias opinion. Because they like you they might like the idea. And really you need someone who is able to give totally unbias feedback. So your friends and family might say that their relationship will not effect their opinion on the idea, but it still might on subconcious level. For these and other reasons getting feedback from strangers will work better. Ive done it in the shopping centers. I know it was awkward but I did it anyway. And I went on some forums where i was regularly and explained the situation and asked if they could fill in the survey. That worked really well.
Another thing that could work is that you ask few of your friends to pass it to their friends.
And as I said, I'd be more then happy to fill in one myself, and im sure others here would not mind helping you out either
