I think thats a good idea...the amount of CV's i've received over the years is quite large and its astounding to me how many people get CV writing wrong!

It got to the point at one stage were I'd probably get 1 Good CV out of 20, truly shocking!

I have to agree with RentAWebsite that most CV's are very poorly written. I think a service that can fill that need well is a good idea .Have you done some research, to see what your online competition would be? There seem to be many sites that are catering to employers and job seekers that may provide the same sort of service. I would do some market research as a first step, and figure out how your company would fit into that niche then proceed from there.

There may be a market, but probably not as big as you think. 3 or 4 points come to mind:
1) If you're unemployed, Jobclubs help with this sort of thing free
2) If you're at university, there are trained careers advisors to give advice on this type of thing free.
3) Many secretaries are more than capable of knocking up a half decent CV. If you give them the info, they'll type it for you and do all the layout for £15-20.
4) There is bucketloads of info on how to write CV's, impress at interviews etc. on the internet. Think "about.com" or recruitment agencies like Kelly's. Most people worth their salt would probably look there for free rather than paying.

I am in process of launching new Jobsite (jobbox.co.uk). There is a holding page and registration page at the moment. Approx 15-20% of visitors register their resumes everyday (though website is in very basic state).

I agree with Sheffielder there are lots of organisations out there that will write a CV for you, especially if you are unemployed/ leaving the forces etc and that's not including articles and that's without the likes of ehow etc and op personally i can't see there would be a big market.

Take into consideration that CV's are being identified as a huge source of identity fraud and companies like iprofile creating electronic profiles and hopefully paper cv's will become a thing of the past in favour of more secure and controllable electronic profiles.

Personally i can't see a business market, least not one that would become a thriving industry.
