Hi,
I need to get some professional business cards and letterheads designed for my new comany.
I have a few questions:
1. Do I need to display my VAT registration number on my letterheads?
2. What else needs to be displayed on my letter heads according to legal reuquirements?
Regards
Donato

it all depends on wether you are a sole trade or ltd company.
If you are ltd.
Company Name,
Company Number,
Registered Trading Address,
Directors
As far as i understand it, your VAT number does not need to be on your letterhead but does need to be on any reciept or invoice you provide.
Depending on your indusrty there may be licence numbers and details that may be needed on your letterhead.

I don't think you have to include the directors if you are a limited company. You must have company number, company name and registered office address. I think the thing with directors is that if you name one you must name them all. However, few letterheads that I have seen name their directors at all on their letterhead.

Hi,
Thank you for the information you have provided.
Yes I forgot to mention that it is a LTD company. OK does anyone know where I can find a good establishment that will create my letterheads and business cards at a responable price?

Pattie is correct about the directors - this is an all or nothing thing. Either they all go on or none of them.
The only thing missing from the list above is your place of registration, ie England or Scotland etc.
Your VAT number if you are registered is normally shown on your headed paper. Off the top of my head I cant recall if this is a legal requirement, but it is normal practice.

Your VAT number is not a legal requirement but if you are going to use your letterheads for invoices then you might aswell include it, plus it also adds a small amount of extra professionalism to the letterehads themselves.
