Something of a cliche, I know, but this is a *genuinely* superb opportunity for the right individual.

Brief Background:

Working within the Market Research industry a couple of years ago (having been forced to take any paying job I could get working from home, due to looking after a seriously-ill spouse at the time) I spotted a need for a particular type of software; an application serving a very narrow need, but also a very valuable one.

As luck would have it, I had been involved in systems & software design for many years prior to this "unfortunate" downturn in my life.

A year and a half of software design and contract development followed, costing my brother and I every penny we had (or could beg or borrow!), and we are now *extremely* close to launching Version 1.0 commercially, being at the final testing & tweaking ("beta" stage). A fully working Demonstration version has been produced, and a final Client Evaluation version is now being finalised. Full commercial launch is expected to be around Monday 1st September, 2008.

The Facts:

Our professional, rather cool-looking (.net) software is designed to reduce labour costs within a particular segment of the Market Research Industry, by anywhere between 50-99% (depending on the type of research conducted by that Agency). In the most recent tests, it reduces labour costs - literally, time spent doing these particular tasks *without* benefit of our software - by an average of 68%.

In essence, our software is capable of saving each of the UK's 700+ Market Research agencies tens of thousands of pounds, each and every year. The global potential is considerable, to say the least.

Moreover, in case you were unaware, software within the Market Research Industry is only ever licensed on an annual basis, never sold outright as is "normal" software. Software Licenses have to be renewed every year, providing a superb, long-term business opportunity for the right application.

A final useful fact: my brother still works within the Market Research industry, as a Data Analyst for one of the UK's Top Ten Agencies (it was actually through his efforts on my behalf that I got the home-working job two years ago). Not only has his "insider" input into the software design been invaluable, but he has also himself invested every penny he could scrape together to help fund the out-sourced development. Why has he? Because our tests have proven that the Agency he works for will save at least £40,000 a year when they license our unique product. And that's one UK Agency out of 700+.

Our Needs:

We have our USPs (unique selling points - emphasis on unique!). We have a professional, tested, working product almost ready to go. We even have considerable self-employment experience between us, so we are aware of most of the pitfalls waiting just around the corner for every new business. We even have a small but carefully-selected, thoroughly-professional development team eager to continue developing our software in future. Moreover, we have the passion, drive and ambition to succeed, and the ideal product and exclusive market to ensure that success.

What we do not have, however, is any personal experience whatsoever in the field of B2B Marketing / Sales. Frankly, we're way out of our depth.
