Lara Morgan, Pacific Direct Group Ltd

Lara Morgan is most widely known for building her own international business, Pacific Direct, over the course of seventeen years before selling a majority share 99% holding of the company for £20 million in 2008.

Lara is passionate about high growth business support and motivating business-owners. She has a number of exciting new ventures including Company Shortcuts, a source of practical advice and frameworks to enable businesses leaders to achieve accelerated growth. Lara intends to be the voice for growth enterprise support encouraging investment in those whom have taken the brave steps to start to build a business. She is a regular commentator on current affairs and business issues with Sky and BBC News. Known for her occasionally controversial views, Lara is also a reputedly down-to-earth motivational speaker.

She has been a finalist in Ernst and Young Entrepreneur 3 times and in 2005 she was a finalist in the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year Award.  She is the author of the recently published Amazon best selling business book, ‘More Balls Than Most’; is a co-founder of Start Up Britain and an Ambassador for UKTI Export. A mother of three, taking it all in her stride, Lara also managed to place 10th in the 2011 Triathlon World Championships for GB.
