Startups readers will get exclusive access
to a panel of crowdfunding experts tonight, when we stream a ‘question time’ style debate live from the Google campus.
‘The Crowdfunding Inquisition’ – which will be hosted by Seed Academy from 7pm – brings together industry leaders from some of the world’s pioneering crowdfunding platforms.
The panel includes Darren Westlake
, co-founder of the world’s first equity-based crowdfunding platform Crowdcube
– which we ranked #11 in our 2012 Startups 100 list.
He will be joined by Simon Dixon, Amanda Boyle and Jeff Lynn, the founders of Bank to the Future, Bloom VC and Seedrs respectively.
With the crowdfunding
movement gaining significant traction in the UK, the event will explain how entrepreneurs can use crowdfunding platforms to raise seed or growth capital
for their business.
The debate will mimic the format of the BBC’s Question Time
programme, with the panel answering questions from the audience.
Startups' Ian Wallis said: "This is a great opportunity for Startups readers across the country to get exclusive access to the pioneers of the crowdfunding movement.
“The success of this emerging sector to date shows crowdfunding is becoming a liberating route to alternative finance for entrepreneurs, to start and grow their businesses."To take part in Seed Academy’s The Crowdfunding Inquisition debate, click here at 7pm to watch our live stream.
