Hello to all, I hope someone out there can help me.
I like to think that GPSLocals.com is revolutionary and at the forefront of technology, but how do I get this message over to new business and existing businesses. The facts are, over 38 Million GPS systems were sold last year, which is a 30% increase on the previous year.
What this means to business owners is that more and more potential customers are using GPS as a method of locating business addresses.
GPSLocals.com is the ONLY company on the planet who can now except business registration which can include Products & Services for inclusion on our GPS system and our own online search engine.
There is a small fee of just 10 Euro’s per year to register, which covers the administration costs and a small profit.
Every company that registers also receives automatic affiliate sign up so should they wish to promote one of our logos on their site, blog, FaceBook etc... every referral that comes through the GPSLocals.com embedded link or logo will earn that person or company 2 Euros of the 10 Euro fee.
Added to promoting GPSLocals.com and earning a commission you are also increasing awareness of GPS Locals that will result in more customers finding registered premises through the system.
So, How can I explain to the world that you can earn money from just being an affiliate and you can also increase customers through your door by registering where your customers are looking....... any ideas welcome.

Please explain to me why any business owner would want to pay you 10 Euro to be listed on a GPS unit when they can be listed for free and appear on Google Maps etc.
Also, I don't mean to be rude but when you use the word 'revolutionary' it better be something spectacular. I don't think adding business data to a personal navigation device(as the industry seems to term them) is at all revolutionary.
I understand that a lot of people own GPS units, but I think that these days more and more people are buying smart phones as they can do far more than a PND.
A fact from a Gartner report: 'Just in smart phones alone, Gartner sees sales tripling by 2012, from 139.3 million in 2008 to almost 492 million units.' (http://www.cnbc.com/id/36012616)
I'm assuming that that figure is for global sales.
So, already smart phone sales are selling nearly 4 units for every single PND(2008 figures, not 2010) and Google, Yahoo, Facebook and Bing(the main providers of business information, I'd imagine) offer a free listing, even if they also offer advertising.
I think you have one core problem.
Businesses are used to free listings on search engines and already get a lot of traffic that way.
I would have been far more polite, but frankly I'm sick of spam and this area of the forum is supposed to be a place to introduce yourself, not put out a badly-written advertisement cum-press release.

I'm blunt when critiquing websites and ideas on this forum. The public won't sugar-coat their opinion about your offering, so there's no point in me doing so.

Interesting comments, but unfortunately not actually correct, the revolutionary part in the interoperable database, lets any end user with any type of device have access for free, how the system rewrites the information and runs real time providing constantly updated date is the part we have to charge the administration fee for, admittedly you can use Google maps, but the information, unfortunately, is added by anyone anywhere, the latest trend in adding houses for sale seemed at first a great idea, but unfortunately because you can do this for FREE on Google, some people do not remove the listing once the property is purchased, add to this that some of the business listings are closed, moved or not added correctly means the end user, (YOU) could receive information, drive to your “nearest” take away, only to find it closed last year (as an example).
Even the “Master” Sir Tim (he who invented the internet) pointed out the biggest problem with the internet is you can upload information for free and you are not under any obligation to remove it when circumstances change, another major factor, if we are using the internet as a comparison, is the fact you can just keep up loading information, so when it comes to combining the internet maps with GPS enabled devices many company’s have multiple entries to ensure when you are searching via smart phone, for a take away, you only get one listing that has been manipulated.
Wouldn’t you agree, you would prefer as a business owner that should someone be looking for YOUR business they find YOUR business?
If someone is local to you, and you need customers through the door, they find YOU
Is it not also true that the new media is search marketing, but not just internet?
As we are using the example of the internet, please send a description of what you do, summarised in 5 words, and then let me have your website address and location of your premises. If I type into Google your Description words and a location point within 5 miles of you and your business shows on page one, then I will agree with you completely, but it will not.
Register on GPS Locals and I can guarantee you that it will.
If you think this is not worth 10 Euros then that is your choice.
But if you want to list where your customers will be looking, then sorry, its 10 Euros.
As a little knowledge for you about free listings, why do you think online directories offer you this?
It is very clever really, they use the information you list as part of their search capabilities, what I mean about this is; you register YOUR details and someone looking for your type of services will find the directory listing first, then the user has to search this free directory to find you again. This enables the directory company to sell adverts based on hit rates. Your details have been used to increase site hits so they can sell adverts, unfortunately they sell adverts to your competitors and YOU attract customers for them by adding your details. Remember my friend NOTING is free, if you want something doing you have to pay and I do not think 10 Euros is a lot for a factually correct listing appertaining to your specific type of trade, do you?
One last thing, with global shipments of GPS-enabled handsets increasing by 92% in 2009 to 150 million units and further forecasted to reach 770 million units in 2014. This clearly states to business owners that more and more potential customers are using GPS as a method of locating addresses. The problem was the information they find, with GPS locals NO Spam, No adverts, NO porn, just the result that was needed.
Hope this helps

The most sort GPS listing in 2009 was Wal-Mart ! as I say, everyone knows who they are but not where they are?
The recent Berg-Insight report; Global shipments of GPS-enabled handsets increased by 92% in 2009 to 150 million units and further forecasted to reach 770 million units in 2014.
This clearly states to business owners that their business needs to be found by GPS users.
