I'm curious...i usually pull pints for a living...i have recently changed industry and after 6 months of learning html and php from books and google, i have created this site... http://www.ukescortsglasgow.co.uk
Built from scratch by code, what do you think. Its not perfect but its simple, contemporary, easy on the eye and its SEO optomised and fast loading. Is it worthy of an "Okay" marker.

Not bad, I think I prefer your original to the Moonfruit version...congrats on giving it a go!
I'd be happy to give you any pointers if you like? Looks like a bit of SEO would help you attract more visitors...
Good luck,
Paul

Thanks very much, that's very kind of you. Yeah, the moonfruit site was more for experimental purposes.
I've read up quite a bit on SEO so i'd say i have a good grounding on the topic, however i'm by no means an expert. Certainly, i would be most interested to hear your thoughts If you have the time. I would be very grateful for your insights.

No worries - here are my initial observations, please don't take them as personal criticisms - I only mean to offer helpful critique!
(In no particular order)
• Move the intro text to the top of the page rather than near the bottom. Engaging visuals (nice photos) should go here too. The idea is to catch someone's attention in the first 3 seconds, then keep them interested...
BTW your intro text is good...
• Phone number should be text not embeded as image if you want search engines/directories to pick it up & list it in local searches.
• Site could be a little wider (just to look more modern, no real technical benefit)
• Try to rename pages to the most SEO friendly format as possible eg. "glasgow-escorts.html" rather than "glasgowescorts.html". Won't make a huge difference but it's worth doing on a rainy day!
Though try not to change page names too often, and if possible set up a 301 redirect (Google "301 redirect") if you do change page names.
• Always bear in mind your target customers. Your customers will want to find their desired escort and make contact with you/them as quickly and easily as possible. Think of the user's visit as a journey - try to remove any obstacle that could dissuade a user/slow them down.
• I really admire your HTML skills but when things start to get busy you need to be able to add/remove/change pages as quickly & efficiently as possible. It MIGHT be worth looking at something like Opencart (www.opencart.com) which could streamline your processes as well as having brilliant built-in SEO friendly structures. It's built for ecommerce but with a few tweaks could work perfectly for your business...just a thought...
• Don't even bother with Moonfruit - you've already proven you're better than that!!!
That's all I can think of right now; when you have some more content on the site I'd be happy to help further. Feel free to email me: info@emediasouthwest.co.uk
All the very best.
Paul

Thank you very much for your extensive reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. You've certainly succeeded in boosting my ego.
You made quite a few interesting points there and i'll definetly follow much of the advice you gave. It's also given me ideas that i can extend and use in different aspects of my application process.
Thank you very much once again for your advice and support.
Kind Regards
