Being a small business I have always been invoiced as A.N.Other T/A Name. Recently been "invoiced" with company name only and also the provider has three VAT numbers on the "invoice" HMRC says not an invoice due to the three VAT numbers. Accountant states not an invoice as just states "company name"
Had words with one wholesaler and he says invoices name as trading as as just to invoice the "company" name would not stand up in Court. HRMC says not valid and to report it and the only way this would be legal would be to get three seperate invoices. (Umbrella company acting as managment company for others at same address.) Supplies different services under one roof any suggestions or have I got it right that this is not an "invoice" and also an illgeal VAT invoice?
HMRC said I should report said company looked at VAT rules seems to be right.
Should I stand my ground and demand correct invoices for each "company"?
