Hello Gavin,
Interesting post and no doubt will covet alot of responses.
I am at the advanced stages of an Internet based business with minimal overheads but projected turnover of £650,000 and operating profit of £250,000 in year one leading to £1.5m profit by year three.
It isn't reinventing the wheel but more honing and harnessing the potential unexplored.
Please contact me if genuinely looking for an exciting project.

Hi Gavin,
I am going to be honest and say I cant claim to be a managing director or have 10 years experience running NASA. Nor can I claim to be well underway with my business.
What I can do is say I have a fantastic idea that with the right backing and the initial investment will be huge.
There is no doubt in my mind of the potential within my idea and I would like to discuss things further if possible.
4theyoung@gmail.com ( I do apologise for the free email address, I will be sorting this out soon as I will need to come across as professional with the product/service I will offer.
Investing in the youth is always a safe bet and thats exactly what you will be investing in Gavin.
Thanks, Chris.

Hello Gavin
Have you thought it through of how you will check out the person or company you might invest in? Would you run a credit check or would you look for who the person is in the main. What are you looking for which will make you feel most safe from a money point of view, as any business is a risk?
cheers

Thanks Gavin

RE: RE: Investment offered to small businesses or great business ideas

To be honest it will be done mainly on research and intuition. I wouldn't intend to run credit check but would get to know someone quite well before jumping into business. Needless to say, the more the investment, the more I'd consider it!

Hi Martin
I think it would be a good idea to get the persons name right who posted in the first place. If you were a "lift" I dont think you would ever make the top floor? Not a good start to a sales pitch in my book.

Hi tigeress289
I think it would be a good idea to stay out of things that have nothing to do with you. Clearly you are far higher being than me that has never made a mistake error. Thank you though for pointing it out to me I will ensure I flog myself repeatidly as punishment. May I suggest that you print your reply roll it into a tight cylinder and like a life going to the top floor stick it up your a**e.

Hi Gavin,
Give me a shout if you are interested. I am in the very final stages of opening a food outlet in a large shopping centre. Currently waiting on building warrants, env health sign off etc. Business plan available and architect plans. Lease all in place. Money is pretty much in place apart from a relatively small amount as contingency against unexpected ventilation and sprinkler costs.
Might be worth a chat?

Ben.Riall | 24/02/2011 06:50 PM
Hi Gavin,
After reading where your expertise lie I got quite excited as I have a business idea that may be a fantastic opportunity for you.
My business idea is start an online fashion retail shop targetting 18-25 year olds who enjoy the night life and like to party, we will be selling fashion, aftershave/perfumes and grooming products. My vision is to make Flexx Street THE place 18-25 year olds go to get kitted out for their night out.
My route to market is very well thought and takes advantage of already built networks who will act as interactive lead sources (as I like to call it). I will be more than happy to share more information in a private conversation.
Why am I in search for a business mentor/investor?
Starting with the mentorship, I'm a young buzzing entrepenuer full of excellent ideas, my drive and ambitions are unrivalled. Although I'll admit I don't know it all and I feel I need the guidance as well as the support from someone who has been there and got the t-shirt. With such help I truly believe I can reach my full potential; buying, selling, marketing, finance and supply chain are all areas where your guidance will be much appreciated.
The investment? Unforunately I don't have the capital to buy the stock, without stock there is no business. As well as stock I need investment for market material and some start-up costs (website is almost completed and has been paid for).
All the day to day running will be done by me and the team I plan to build. In return I offer you equity within my business.
If this sounds like the opportunity you would like to explore please get in touch, my details are below.
I look forward to hearing from you.

We are looking for investment to get our business out there in a big way!!
About us
This is the part where we should be coming out with phrases such as 'maximise profit' and 'holistic approach' but to be honest, they mean very little as you hear these words all the time these days.
What we will state, however, is that we are a business comprised of business owners, unlike traditional distributors / sourcing comapnies. Our key management team have all been Managers of FTSE 100 companies or Directors in their own businesses, and all of them had very successful careers before getting together to form our group of companies.
Through organic growth, we have built our reputation upon our core values (quality, value and service). Well on our way and with offices in Cheshiew, our aim is to become the Europes leading distribution arm / management centre for a number of the largest LCD advertising & screen manufacturers in the world.
With strong links throughout Europe, UK and Ireland, and global links and connections to China, USA & Canada, our company is well positioned to understand the passions that drive technology advances and the physical reach to deliver on time every time.
We are building a reseller channel and are totally dedicated to helping our channel partners, distributors and manufacturers close every available new business opportunity in today’s Digital Signage, M2M Data & the Tablet PC market place.
We have a fantastic range of Unique Products and are building a reseller channel in addition to International import / export of Digital Signage.
We are currently working with a number of Clients (won a contract for the Morocco Mall - the 2nd largest in the world) and are looking at getting our range out to the USA and Dubai.
We are also building a Tablet PC Range and are looking to build bespoke data solutions which will generate huge margins for the business. We have finance and lease purchace agreements in place also.
This is going to be massive over the next 10 years in the UK so we need someone with the same passion and desire to drive this forward as we are
Please email headhuntme@live.co.uk if you are interested.
Thanks and regards
Pete

Offer for 75-100 % return in 12 month - Bark briquette production.
Hello Gavin.
We are company who are doing biomass - wood chip production in Latvia for heating plants and export to Denmark, UK, and others.
We are not big, doing many sales through agents.
We are already in this business for 2 years.
And in other business for more than 6 years.
At the moment we want to make briquette production.
We can offer 75 - 100 % return in 12 month only because we can buy bark briquette material 4-5 times cheaper than others are buying for briquette production.
We are looking for 35 000 euro investments - machinery and barks.
70 % of money goes for bark material buying to be sure we can make return per year.
About bark briquettes:
Mainly the same original briquettes, but bark briquette burning time is 2-3 TIMES LONGER - 10-12 hours and our 75 % - 100 % return for investor is made by calculating sales 20 % cheaper than standard briquettes.
Unfortunately, this deal will not be available in some monthes if we will not buy barks in nearest times. Because barks will be burned in heating plant.
If You or someone else is interested in this project, please, feel free to contact me.
If You want, You can find information about us in our webpage www.biomass-woodchips.com
To contact us You can use our contact form in our webpage www.biomass-woodchips.com
Or
You can send email to info AT biomass-woodchips.com
Thank You.
Kind regards,

I am looking at taking on a franchise from an American company called My Gym. My Gym are experts in child fitness and feature programmes for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years to enable them to develop physically, emotionally and cognitively. My Gym are actively promoting their brand to assist in reducing childhood obesity, which i'm sure you are aware is a huge government priority and talking point at the moment.
They currently have 200 locations in 25 countries, but nothing in the UK as yet. The My Gym facility is the ultimate exercise and play superstructure with built-in climbing and swinging apparatus and state-of-the-art equipment, custom-made exclusively for My Gym. The center is always clean, safe and inviting. Each week, the gym’s floor space is reconfigured to continually provide new and exciting experiences for the children.
Current programmes offered by My Gym include:-
- Little Bundles (6 weeks - 6 months)
- Tiny Tykes (7 - 13 months)
- Waddlers (14 - 22 months)
- Gymsters (23 months - 2.5 years)
- Terrific Tots (2.5 - 3.5 years)
- Mighty Mites (3.5 to 4.5 years)
- Whiz Kids (4.5 to 6 years)
- Champions ( 6 - 8 years)
- Cardio Kids (7 - 13 years)
As well as the above programmes they also offer My Gym Camp which is a day camp programme for school holidays and a My Gym Mobile service, offering the programmes to nurseries, schools etc plus the ability to offer onsite birthday parties at the facility.
My Gym state they are looking for a minimum investment of 100k.I personally feel this would be an excellent opportunity offering services/programmes for families in my local area with a fun, exciting facility to attract children and excellent marketing potential.
I would love to hear your thoughts on my venture.
