Hi
I see alot of people here looking for help with SEO, email marketing and internet marketing in general. Now we all know that there are many 'self help' courses available online but even when you buy one of these you're still on your own.
What I want to know is, if there was a site that you could subscribe to that was run by experienced SEO experts, affiliate marketing specialists, PPC specialists etc where you could get personal 1 to 1 help and training on all aspects of internet marketing for a reasonable subscription per year would you sign up?
Any feedback would be most helpful.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
I am sorry to sound ubrupt but SEO sucks!
I especially cannot stand the type of people that say "we can get you in the top 5 rankings", "we can get you up in the top listings in 48 hours", etc.
All the websites I have dealt with as far as design, development, etc is concerned have a creditable ranking after a while.
All I do is design the site to the best of my ability, making sure it works without error and is accessible and then I let nature take its course. Google and other search engines will find it when they are ready.
Best Regards,

Hi Matthew
Thanks for your feedback.
I would say that 'bad' SEO sucks. But good SEO is well worth the effort and definitely has its place. There are some very good SEO companies around, the problem, like you say, is that there are too many scams around and too many people fall for their patter which only demonstrates the desperation to achieve high SE positions there is out there.
However, SEO is only one part of a companys on-line marketing, people also want good affiliate marketing campaigns, guidance with email marketing, PPC etc.

Hi,
Right, now I know you are genuine - yes, your idea may work especially with all the new blogging craze coming into fashion.
There is only one way to find out and that is to try and see what happens...
What's the worst that could happen? You could have wasted a bit of time setting up the site, marketing the site, etc.
But if it does work - well, i'll leave you to decide :-)
Have fun.

I would consider signing up for such a program if I got individual attention. It would save a lot of time in the long run searching here and there for the answers to all of the questions I have.

There are a lot of such sites already available. Forums on such sites allow you to get one-to-one input from many professionals. Even this site does that to some extent.
SEOMoz.org, StomperNet.com are just two big SEO communities that come to mind. You'd need to offer more for the money than they do - and they're very well established.

I'd consider paying a subscription for those types of 1 on 1 services for sure.
Id probably wouldn't want to pay much more than £25 per month tho.
I think that'd be a fair price

SEO gives you the best return on marketing investment in the long term as you're getting free organic traffic.
Paid Search is the fastest traffic generation method online today and is very measurable.
Social media promotion works best for certain types of products and services that benefit from word-of-mouth or viral marketing promotions.
Banner advertising works well for brand exposure purposes.
Podcasting helps you to engage the audience.

people would definitely pay for it. There is no question. SEObook.com charges $150/month. If you can offer something of similar value than you shouldn't have a hard time making your money back but you need to find people that know what they're talking about to join and then spread the word.
I think Brian has it pretty much summed up above. A lot of people spend (or rather waste) time on social media when there are far better places to spend your time. Maybe if you're starting an SEO site then that would be good.

Yes I think that this sort of service is very valuable.
I seem to come across a lot of people who offer training courses in internet marketing etc who charge £1000-2000 for a day course that basically teach you how to set up a website, autoresponder and e-commerce (e.g. clickbank or more comprehensive shopping cart technology). This stuff really isn't that complicated actually, but by charging huge prices they make people feel like it's so impossible, you have to pay big sums of money to learn it.
I'm actually compiling a little web course on some internet marketing basics which, if I charge for it, will be nominal in cost. There's room for everybody to play in the internet marketing world. Maybe I'm missing a trick here, but I don't see any reason why it should cost so much.
So basically I think that you have a good idea there.
Would welcome your thoughts on content.
All the best,
Jason

I would personally pay for such services, because it's the best way to learn seo.
In this case you pay to learn something, which is better than hiring a seo expert that will do the work for you (the second option is for lazy people...or busy people).

Hi,
I found a really great website called meetup.com that might be of interest to you. Basically there are thousands of meet-up groups based around many defferent topics and interests. There is a meet up group for people interested in SEO. Why not go along and network with people who are experienced in this field; it may povide you a gateway to some useful contacts and some cut-the-crap SEO advice.
Good luck,
Gems x
