i need some help with banks for my new business !!

Hi and i hope someone can help !!
I've started a small business and want to now it's set up online and we're generating customer interest, to set up a small business account, but i have personal bad debt and am finding it hard to find a bank who will help me. Can anyone help with some advice ??
also i'd like to secure some funding but where do i go to help with that as i am finding business link unhelpful ?? BTW i'm based in north east england.

hello mike,
Providing that you are not wanting to borrow money it shouldn't be an issue
however if they are not prepared to play ball there are always ways around things
Such as...
If you are trading in your own name or as a sole trader and all the business generated is online then why not
set up a paypal account to recieve all the monies from sales then sweep this money into your own personal account
if you dont have a personal account then apply for a prepay credit card I know people who use these as virtual bank accounts
you can then sweep all the sales from the paypal account to the credit card and use that to pay bills and expenses for the business

Hi I didnt think paypal accepted the pre paid cards as I know people who have had them rejected when trying to register with paypal. They are open to fraud?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
