Yep, it does look a little like your on a hairdressers website... Its still very smart but try using some of your other portfolio images??
Also, have you actually designed the sites in your portfolio? They look a little templatey (very nicely designed - but a little too generic??)

Nice layout and design.
Instead of using tables, why don't you use CSS?
Obviously, you are in a large niche and therefore it would be advantageous to do a some on-page SEO.

I agree, css will make your website more search engine friendly.
I'm sure it will be good for your traffic

Hi Gary
The site is generally nice looking but i have to agree with everyone else who has mentioned the hairdresser look! I presume that is an actual picture of you? If so, don't want to sound rude (but i guess honest opinion is more important!) but it looks very professionally done and like a very staged photoshoot which again goes back to the hairdresser thing!! It needs to look a little more business like rather than focussed on image!
I also think you need a headline that grabs people - why should people be bothered to let your work speak for itself - people are only interested in themselves and your work is for other people! I also think you need a data capture box on the right so you can offer people a free newsletter and then you can start to communicate with them and build a relationship with them - just name and email would do.
Also why don't you integrate a blog as well as links to twitter, facebook etc - as you are in web design you need to be seen to be keeping up with all relevant social media tools too. Blog will also help with SEO which i also think you need to work on.
Overall the feel of the site is good and its only a few tweaks!
We are finalising our new site and have had to address all these issues ourselves as it is so competitive online and attention to detail is so vital!
Hope this helps!
