I have a unique product to sell but need advice on all aspects of sales and marketing.
I have managed to source a manufacturer for my product in the Far East but have no idea about import tax, selling the product on or how much to charge. Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

Seems like you are thinking big. Well done! You may want to use the services of a specialist business consultant with experience in the specific industry and knowledge of import regulations. You should know that their advice does not come cheap. Good luck!

Hi,
The cost of import tax really depends on where your products will be imported from - we used to import our products from the US but this proved extremely expensive. Research is the key in working out how much to sell products for, work out what your competitors are selling these for but if it is a niche product you have a head start. You need to mark your products at a good price so it is appealing for you customer but also making sure you adhere to the golden rule - make sure you make enough profit to make it worthwhile.
Hope it call goes well.

You should try and use Export Packing business to protect your product investments. You can't have you products being received damaged or broken. Export packers will protect your products in 3 shells of packaging that is especially made for the specific products

This is great - you have a unique product, but now I think you should have a pro consultant, because all this questions depend on the details. If you have a great idea, don't spare money to accomplish it - this would be a mistake.
