I would like to integrate Ebay, Website OS Commerce and Telephone orders into one system for synchronisation with my Line 50 Sage system. Unfortunately I am having to do a lot of double entry to get the invoice data into Sage. Does anyone have any ideas of good software to solve this etc.
Many thanks in Advance,
Sam

In terms of importing, yes you can import orders into SAGE - I am not sure you will get an off the shelf programme to do this, you tend to need to get into the data to set up the imports. You can also look hard at what data you are recording in sage - I have had several clients who put every invoice in when they only really need to include a "day book"
First step I would say is to sit down and work out what data you actually need to record, and then build from there. You should actually be able to integrate the whole lot through your accounting package if you set things up correctly without bolting on yet another bit of software. I have noticed a lot of people use their accounting software almost as a duplicate of other systems, building in a lot of data redundancy which can be avoided with some proper systems work. I would have a chat your accountant as a first port of call to see if they do systems work - some won’t, but those who don’t will probably have someone they outsource this type of thing to. I don’t know how big you are, but a lot of it is just going through logically what you do and working out the best way of doing it using the full potential of the software you have.

Like what James mentioned, if you set up three customers, Ebay Sales, Web Sales & Telephone Sales. Each day enter the sale total as one order for each customer. I had the same problems, with accounts Plus (but obviously wouldnt fully intergrate), this was the answer I came up with.
Your ecommerce software probably records detailed data about your customers/orders, so you can use that instead.
Hope this helps

James,
Thanks for this. The problem is that about 500 orders are being generated a day, and I have been informed that this level of ordering would be better serviced by a seperate Stock Control system which then downloads only the summary/required financial informal for Line 50. This synchronisation can happen in non operational hours. Also if there is a problem with the accounts system then the Operational system is unaffected.
So at the moment my thoughts are with going for a seperate SC operational solution which can synch with SL50.
Thanks again,
Sam

Any other views on a good standalone Stock control system that will take orders from the web, automate picking and forward into Sage Line 50.
Thanks,
Sam

HI,
I use a program called Tradebox Finance Manager developed by Platform One. This allows you to download your order from ebay, amazon and the website and you can have multiple store in any.
All you need to do for eBay is to mark the orders that have been paid for as dispatched, tradebox finance manager will then link to eBay and download the information straight into sage.
For Amazon & the website, you need to download information into a CSV file and tradebox puts this into sage as well.
Please feel free to cantact me if you need more information, I can't priase it enough it has saved me hours of work every day.
If you want to try it, you can get a free trial, if you then proceed can you tell them I told you about it? http://www.etrader.uk.com/products/finance-manager/
