Hi, You need detailed drawings (but without technical dimensions etc) not the actual product. Most people go through a patent attorney because the process is extremely precise and riddled with jargon. In terms of timing, it's not possible to do a patent in less than 12 months and it can take up to three years. Look at the IPO website for further guidance. Regards, j
