Green Business of the Year, Seriously Responsible Print Ltd

Seriously Responsible Print Ltd

Judges comments:
This corporate and socially responsible digital print company is already having a big environmental impact in the region it operates in, greening the operations of other businesses as well as its own. The judges felt this was an excellent example of a small company that’s taking environmental considerations seriously enough to work them into its business plan. Paper stock is FSC certified or recycled, and the company promises that its local delivery team go by foot or bicycle and are carbon neutral. Longer-distance deliveries are undertaken by courier firms committed to reducing their carbon footprints, while the firm also manages to add social responsibility to a green commitment, with 10% of profits donated to charities. The company plans to help out on projects in areas such as education and homelessness. All of these considerations are part of a solid business model that delivers an impressive turnover that is likely to grow as more clients respond to the firm’s carbon footprint reducing services.
