Hi,
I've been thinking for sometime now of starting up my own online store but have been to busy to think about it. Now i've found another job which frees up more time during the day, i'm serioulsy thinking of starting it up!
I've been in the games industry for around 3 years now, so i know a lot of wholesalers/publishers and got good relationships with them. after finding a website called ekmpowershop.co.uk that charges you £19.99 a month to use their shopping cart service, i feel i could start a small shop up online (of say 80 skus). obviuosly this wont be my first income but i was thinking of keeping my profits in a pot and as i make more money i can then increase my stockfile/reduce retail prices to eventually become a worthy business.
i was wondering if anybody has any info on what charges it would be to get a licence/get VAT registered/etc so i can work out how much money i need to start up!
i know i'll be up against the likes of play and amazon but i've found a gap in the market which i think i can exploit!
Please let me know your thoughts...
Cheers,
Kezmark
