One of the UK’s best-known female entrepreneurs is on the lookout for sharp business minds to undertake a series of local and national franchising projects.

Rachel Elnaugh, star of BBC’s Dragons’ Den, is inviting entrepreneurs to contact her with business ideas, for the opportunity to see their idea transformed into a national franchise.

Elnaugh is also on the hunt for candidates to take on a number of her own franchising ideas, which she hopes to get started with early next year.

The invitation reflects the star’s determination to encourage more people to start-up their own businesses, and she believes that franchising offers an ideal solution.

“The franchise model is an excellent way for individuals to start a business, and learn what they are truly capable of, with the resources and support in place to help them,” said Elnaugh.

The high-profile entrepreneur has also launched a series of tips for budding franchisees, to accompany her new project.

The first rule of franchising, says Elnaugh, is to “choose a franchise you are passionate about and where you understand the customer. It is easier to promote a business that you love, and you will potentially make more money.”
