Hi all,
I am 27 two kids and work part time, in health and social care, I am at the point were I would like to set up my own venture. I have been thinking and researching for the past year about setting up a Domicilary Care Agency supplying support workers and home carers. I need some advice! where do I start I know health care is a viable sector, but I need some views. I have alot to gain and maybe alot to lose.

Hi Isabella,
I work in social care as well (and am studying social work)
was thinking that this would also be a great venture, and one worth while with an ageing population etc
Anyway i am aware that the care commission will be the registering body, and fees depend on size of your agency ie "support services-care at home" would cost between £1261 and £2798 and there is also yearly fees i think- see link below

You will have to meet social care minimum guidlines adhere to sssc values and such like...where are you based anyway?

Hi Isabella,
If you are still interested drop me a line.
The body you register with will depend on which country you live in - it is the CQC for England.
You donlt need to register if you only intend to supply workers to other registered organisation such as care homes or other agencies.
I have posted elsewhere about the process but happy to assist if you would like more information.
