Quick question. How come you can't buy 2 letter domain names for example
bf.co.uk but you can have bf.com/.net etc?

What about www.bt.co.uk?
Different people run the TLD's (the ending). Nominet run the UK extentions and they may have ruled that no two-letter web addresses can exist.
However, BT have registered it, so know I don't know.
Will try and find out though.

QUOTE:
5.6 For the SLDs co.uk, me.uk, org.uk, and net.uk, a Third Level Domain may not consist of only two letters. For example, an application to register ie.co.uk, -a.co.uk or e-.co.uk would be rejected. For the avoidance of doubt Third Level Domains containing a letter and a number or two numbers are permitted thus 2a.co.uk, a2.co.uk, or 22.co.uk are acceptable.
OK?

Im not quite sure how BT have done it but I think its something to do with this code >>> var url = "/index.jsp"; top.location.replace(url); BT own BT.com and look to have some bit of trickery working when you put in BT.co.uk!

No trickery involved, BT simply registered the name years ago before Nominet brought in the "no 2 figure domain" rule.

Plus the fact that there are no 2 or three letter domains left now! In fact ther's very few four and even less five letter ones.
If you do find one, you are lucky...
