A new training event for entrepreneurs is being launched next week to help Britain’s small businesses better understand the power of the internet.
Serial entrepreneur and former Dragon, Doug Richard, is hosting In 48 Hours as part of MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival, where he will provide an intensive two-day boot-camp for 300 small firms. He aims to demonstrate how small companies can use the internet to grow more efficiently.
Richard, who is the founder of entrepreneurial training academy, School for Startups, said: “Most small businesses in Britain fail to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the internet and in most cases only manage an online brochure for their goods or services.
“In 48 Hours will provide a standard for specific expertise-based training. It will help small businesses realise what little time and effort it needs to take advantage of the online opportunities and become more successful.”
Richard believes that growth via the internet is the key in driving the UK economy out of recession, and In 48 Hours is designed to act as a scalable way to grow UK business and boost recovery.
The national entrepreneurs festival will take place in Sheffield on September 10 and 11.
