Has anyone had any dealings with any of the various crowd funding services?

If you were successful, or unsuccessful:

- How did you go about putting together your pitch?
- Which site did you use (and would you recommend it)?
- How did you market your pitch?
- What reward ££points did you have, and what were the rewards?

I plan to put together some of the concept designs, API Spec, feature list etc coupled with an interview style video.

Can you think of any other ways of gaining the trust required to get people to pledge?
