I have just set up a comparison website and am currently listing thousands of products so that people can leave reviews on them.
Listing all products manually is very time consuming and is just not viable. I am about to ask a coder to use web crawling / data mining to extract product features from other websites.
As I have a brand new site I can not ask retailers or other websites to provide me with data feeds, web crawling is my only option at this stage.
Is there any legal risk? Coyuld I be sued for that? I'm only extracting product information so that users can leave a feedback.
