Hair care firm Capelli SP has radically altered its franchise programme by announcing that entrepreneurs will now only be taken on part-time.
In an effort to make their operation more “flexible and cost effective”, Capelli franchises will now be run on a part-time basis, while startup costs have also been slashed.
Budding entrepreneurs looking to take on the Capelli name will now have to pay £7,500 to take on the franchise – half the cost of the previous full-time business.
Capelli, which distributes hair products to salons across the UK via a network of franchises, said that the decision was taken in consultation with existing franchisees.
The hair care company said that the move will allow individuals with little time, especially salon owners who decide they would like to distribute as well, to take on a franchise.
Carl Atkinson, sales and marketing director at Capelli, said: “We are constantly listening to our franchisees, they tell us what they need and we continually improve the service we offer to ensure their success.
“We are very proud of the achievements we have had this year, it proves that the strategies we have in place are really working and I am looking forward to more success in 2004,” he said.
