I am looking for video conferencing software (preferably free). This is for personal use, not business, so it does not need to be heavy duty. I need it so I can keep in touch with family who are overseas.
I'm not sure how I go about doing this. Can anyone make any recommendations?
Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,
For basic use you can use the video confrencing facility built into MSN Messenger. I know that companies like Logitech supply webcams for less than £50 and these can be tied into MSN messenger to provide a video and audio stream.
Kind regards,
Larry

Simon,
I would recommend the Polycom PVX Software. I work for a Video Conferencing supplier and am based from home and regularly communicate to our engineers using a high quality camera running alongside the software.
Feel free to contact me to discuss further

Ed

This free software that works in conjunction with Skype is brilliant, and is very clear.
Make sure your webcam is a minimum of 30 fps (frames per second) to ensure continuous / smooth scrolling.
