In response to this week’s floods, BT is offering its 1.2 million business customers its support service for free.

BT Assurance Plus is normally a paid-for service providing support for technical problems such as line faults, broadband problems and handset issues.

The company said they would offer the service free of charge for the next month to help businesses disrupted by the floods get their IT and communication services back up and running.

“The havoc caused by the severe flooding across parts of England has clearly been devastating, with the threat of further disruption to come,” said Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business.

“For businesses affected by flooding, any operational downtime can have a huge impact on their ability to provide a consistent service to their customers.”

BT Business customers with a fault can call 0800 990088 quoting reference Extreme Weather Offer to receive the free service.
