Some of the UK’s most successful start-ups will be showcased at the British Library next week at its ‘Start-Up Stars – the Secrets of Success’ event.
The Library, which will host the evening of presentations, debate and networking opportunities, said the event will give the audience a chance to hear from and quiz four award-winning entrepreneurs.
The evening will look at setting up a company amidst global financial downturn, placing an emphasis on the importance of knowing your numbers, your market and the information sources you can go to in order to support your business case.
Speakers will include Adam Goodyer, co-founder of music website Concert Live; Tricia Weener, co-founder of creative marketing agency Intelligent Marketing; Rhodri Ferrier, co-founder of mens’ grooming brand Bulldog Natural Grooming, and Dan Cobley, marketing director for Google in the UK.
The event, part of the British Library Business & IP Centre’s Inspiring Entrepreneurs programme, will take place on the evening of Wednesday October 15. Tickets, priced at £10 or £7.50 for concessions, are available by clicking here.
