Ok I made the big leap and failed BIG time
I had/have an on line shop and it's rubbish
I have an EKM power systems shop software is great but the £22 amonth for me and the lack of results it has to go..
and the world pay I think I have spent about £600 and got nothing back, which is my own fault I tell a lie I have a had a few sales where they just phone me up.. about £300-350
So I bought some software for a shopping cart and the back up from this one man band of software writers is great I feel I am getting some where and the set up is very cheap and it's only because it's new that it is cheap. It's nice and basic and flows well.
So I am looking to use Paypal as it's cheaper than world pay for payment. Then later on if and when sales rise I would look to go back to worldpay or who ever to get a better rate etc etc..
So what's the best way to do this, just put a small number of items ( that you know you supply in quick time ) out on the shop or put a number of things up and go for it.. ( would rather go steady than full on this time )
Any pointers and or pit falls to look out for ;-)

Hi,
first of all, whats your website, you should at least add a link in your posts, i believe you can input this into your login file, just go to edit.
another thing is are you getting people to your website or are they coming but are just not buying?
on payment i suggest looking at Protx as a cheaper alternative to world pay and paypal.

As my question above I don't know what you sell on your online shop so cannot give much more advice apart from go out and get yourself some good marketing books and read this forum.
Also the xmas period is coming soon so you will have to work at getting a slice of the business.

a lot of successful people have been where you have, its just a matter of getting the business mix right, a bit of luck but you make most if it in business.

I second ushopit uk about not giving up. You have done and learnt a lot. Your inital choice of software/payment processer might not have been the right mix but you have already learnt from that.
People on this forum are very helpful and supportive.
Try and post as much as you can about the various aspects of your business that you need help/advice/recommendations and someone is sure to give you good help.
Good luck
