Discovering Start-Ups 2012 is offering technology start-ups the opportunity to pitch to executives from companies including Google, Vodafone Ventures and RIM.
The industry leaders are due appear among angel investors and venture capitalists on the judging panel of Cambridge Wireless’ third competition for technology start-ups, which is this year in partnership with Silicon South West.
Hosted on November 21, the final of the UK-wide competition will see 20 ambitious wireless entrepreneurs and start-ups compete for a £500 cash prize from Qualcomm Ventures and a free delegate ticket to Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona provided by UKTI.
The five winners will also earn the opportunity to present at the Future of Wireless International Conference and a year’s free membership to technology start-up support network SETsquared, valued at £5,500.
Cambridge Wireless is accepting applications until October 19 and Simon Bond, founder of Silicon South West urges all people with innovative technology ideas to sign up for their chance to compete at the Taylor Wessing headquarters in London.
He said, “Where else would a start-up business get the opportunity to get in front of such an impressive line-up of investors and wireless experts?
“We would encourage as many companies or individuals to get their free entry in before the 19th October deadline.”
