Hi all,
I would like to create a newsletter for my web site (www.FunAfterBaby.co.uk) - is there software you can buy, or do you just create a mailing list and email as normal???
Sorry to sound sooooo stupid - all a bit new to me!
Thanks
Dee

You can buy software that makes it easy for you - will hold you customer database and code your newsletter too.
I think Microsoft Outlook has the capability to send out HTML emails like this so if you use a PC you can try that. It really depends on how sophisticated you want it.
I have a mac so I have never tried doing it that way. I think you would need to code the HTML in an HTML editor something like Dreamweaver first though.
My website has a built in function to send out newsletters to all customers - but I still write the code in Dreamweaver and then copy & paste.
We send out newsletters on a monthly basis and have done for a couple of years now. They started off just highlighting offers on the site but they have evolved now to contain real news and content that is worth reading and actually adds value to the customer. A nice balance of new products, industry news, special offers etc works well I think.
You can download loads of newsletter templates from the web too - try these sites.
http://www.templateworkz.com/newsletter_templates.php
http://www.interspire.com/templates/
http://www.templatesbox.com/free-newsletter-templates/index.htm
You may need a bit of HTML knowledge or a decent HTML editor to really get the best out of them but I am sure there are plenty of people on this forum that can give you a few pointers for free.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at the sites you've listed. I just want a basic monthly newsletter with general articles and offers for subscribers.
I can do some basic HTML and have Dreamweaver, hope that will be enough!
Thanks again
